As the Online Learning Specialist, you will support, develop, implement, and deliver online educational content for distance learning offerings. Working with a variety of online learning technology platforms and eLearning tools/software applications, you’ll deliver education content online, ensuring a high-quality end-user experience.
What you’ll need to thrive:
Bachelor’s degree; or 1 – 2 years related experience or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the public.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Learning Management System (LMS), Association Management System (AMS), and ability to learn new software quickly.
What you’ll do as the Online Learning Specialist:
Help create/produce online content and related materials with subject matter experts (internal and external) and Director of Education to meet continuing education requirements and professional development objectives.
Assist in the marketing of all distance learning offerings.
Manage and maintain all data related to online learning activities and offerings.
Oversee online learning logistics, including creating project plans and managing related timelines.
Coordinate the technical integration of LMS, webinar platform, AMS platform, and related online tools to optimize online learning functionality.
Manage LMS system features and functions, including configuring and loading online course content, assessments/evaluations, reports, templates, etc.
Stay current with learning technology trends and processes for the purposes of evolving online learning products/offerings.
Collaborate on webinar budget planning to balance expenses with revenue targets.
Coordinate speaker and participant communications.
Facilitate live webinars.
Maintain, produce, and track certificates of attendance for webinars, and process requests for replacement certificates as needed.
Respond to member questions or requests for assistance regarding webinars.
Maintain the on-demand education library and coordinates regular updates to ensure content is accurate, current, and relevant.
Serve as the Program Director for the Assisted Living (AL) Director Licensing Course:
Update the 40-hour Minnesota specific curriculum as needed in coordination with the Director of Assisted Living.
Coordinate 80-hour online core training through LeadingAge Michigan.
Monitor student progress throughout the course and encourage students to complete their modules in a timely fashion.
Respond to student questions or requests for assistance.
Work with Communications Team to market the program, specifically to non-members.
Convene the AL Director Licensing Course Curriculum Advisory Committee in coordination with the Director of Education.
Collaborate with Director of Education to maintain status as an approved AL Director Licensing Course through MN-BELTSS.
Assist with setup and live facilitation of virtual Institute sessions via Zoom and the LMS.
Support the Vice President of Events, Education, and Experiences, Director of Education, and Events and Education Coordinator with Institute conference logistics.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:

Mathematical Ability:
